With a couple of tropical systems in the Atlantic, she might want to hurry. |

She already cross the tail of the tropical storm Humberto last week, with 7 meters waves and 35 knots winds. She had to stay strapped inside her cabin 3 days in a row, capsizing twice (her boat have a ballast, self-straightening itself). Now that she reach the Gulf Stream, thing should speed up a bit. |

She did it. 5000 kms, 129 days, winds up to 60mph and 40ft waves, capsizing 10 times. |

Hugo Vihlen sailed 4100 miles from Morocco to Miami in 1968, his boat was only 5ft 11 inches long, the boat was shaped like a cork, I think is was wider or deaper than long. The boat sits rotting in the upper keys right now, have not seen it for about 5 years. |

In 1965 Robert Manry sailed the Tinkerbelle, which at that time was the smallest boat ever to make a non-stop across the Atlantic at 13.5 feet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Manry |
