Any recommendations as to which photo sharing website is easiest and pleasant to use for the viewer ?

I already have some stuff on photo bucket, so I was looking for something different.

My project 15 is getting 'near' the tunnel . . . just can't see the light at the end of it just yet ! Ha ! I'd like to start uploading some of the progress pics.

Thanks

Keeper

PS This project has taken so long due to my work/finances, that had I known I would be 5 years older from when I started, I would have considered a larger model.... I'm old now !!! hahahaha !!!

Try something different than Photobucket as the pictures on that are like avatars so small you can't see detail.

Regarding Photobucket... it is actually pretty good. The pictures have to be good quality in the first place, as it will scale them according to their resolution.

Try the one below. These were just taken with an iPhone. You can click on it to get an even larger picture. If it still comes through poorly then you may have a problem on your end.

Photobucket was good but they have been making changes to their site and it is not for the better. Their site is no longer easily navigable, nor is it conducive to fast easy high res viewing of images and I do not care for their new upload software.

Also they are having a very difficult time with making their site viewable and usable on mobile devices and tablets. They do offer a very good amount of storage space though.

I have most of my stuff on photobucket and will likely keep what is up on there so the links I have to those images do not get broken.

Moving forward though, I do not think photobucket will be my image hosting site in the future. I may be shifting to Flickr or back to my old Picasa account.

With the new website I can't even upload anything. Yes my software is outdated but the new website won't let me do the most basic functions anymore. I would need to change software and lose software I use for business running on older MacOX. Its a mess but it is what it is. The alternative is more money to load photos on Photobucket.

Here is something cool you can do with Flickr. It only works on a computer. I can't get it to work on mobile.

Start with the first picture in the link below and hover your cursor on the subject. In this case the envelope that I'm taking out of the mailbox. A text box will appear and tells a story. Use the arrow on the right to go to the next pic and put your cursor on the subject. I think there are 33 pics in all.

This is a project I did for a little friend up north based on the children's book Flat Stanley. I got an A.

Google's photo sharing hands down. Clean and simple, no ads. No heavy formatting content like photobucket and flickr that is slow to load on slow connections or old computers. Plus if you want, it will sync over the cloud with your iphone or Android phone's camera and gallery. If you enable the GPS in your camera, you or your viewers can pull up a google map of where the pic was taken, or look at the EXIF data. Yes, even with an iphone, you can automatically store and sync the pictures you take in google's cloud.

I have a bunch of pictures on Photobucket like Jeff. The new and improved Photobucket sucks so I am going somewhere else also.
