posted 11-06-2013 07:05 PM ET (US)      [Apparently there is not much interest in the actual topic proposed in this thread. The initial article contained only a link to an article on another website which detailed the refusal of Fond du Lac to give Brunswick an interest-free $10,000,000 loan for purchase of equipment for their plant in Fond du Lac. In retrospect, it was probably a bad idea for the website to even tolerate the introduction of this topic, as even the initiator of the discussion, L H G, eventually complained about the topic being discussed. There now seems to be more interest in discussing this discussion itself that there is for the initial topic of the discussion. As I have long noted, there is seldom much to be learned about boating when the topic of a discussion becomes the people who are participating in the discussion or the elements of the discussion itself. Accordingly, I am closing this discussion. If readers found this topic--the news that Fond du Lac had refused to give Mercury a loan, to be of no interest, or if readers found it to be of great interest, please send my you opinions on this topic via email.
