It is apparently related to some presentation that Brunswick is making to investors that occurs today. Perhaps the answer can be found in http://phx.corporate-ir.net/External. File?item=UGFyZW50SUQ9MjExMDY3fENoaWxkSUQ9LTF8VHlwZT0z&t=1 |

On page 61 of the presentation (linked above) the priorities for Boston Whaler are listed as follows: --lead U.S. premium fiberglass outboard saltwater market – benefit from the introduction of five all new models in model year 2013 and four in model year 2014 --continue to extend product line above 30 feet – beyond 345 Conquest and 370 Outrage, including center console and cabin models --extend product line-up in dual console segment following highly successful Vantage series launch It is also interesting to note the surprising minority share of sales that fiberglass outboard boats contribute to Brunswick's boat group--only 21-percent. Aluminum boats are 44-percent of sales. It surprises me that tin-boats, a relatively new area for Brunswick, have become so dominant. They more than double the fiberglass boat sales. See pages 52 and 53 for the references. |

I love the 230 Vantage. In a different era I would be an owner. Thanks for pointing out their aluminum portfolio. I had no idea Brunswick owned Crestliner and Lowes. |

^^ If you want to see what boat brands Brunswick owns, look for the Mercury package-motor on the back. There's a reason they are there.
