I imported this boat from switserland and it has only been used on lake geneve which is the biggest fresh water lake in europe. There are not many temptation models in europe, perhaps a total of 5 and only 2 were delivered with inboards and are on lake geneve, and one of these is now mine.

The original mercruser was a carburator version, mine has a new engine. Reason why inboard motor versions of these whalers were delivered in 1988, was because switserland already had very tight emissions regulations in those days and outboards did not meet regulations i was told.

I am very pleased with my 22temptation since i really like this classic whaler which is purely for crusing the dutch waters with my wife.

I would like to know if one of you can inform me how many in total were build in its short production years (1988-1989), and how many were inboards since most had the whalerdrive.

While I don't know the answer to how many were produced, I am sure someone in the know will reply.

Have you sold the Outrage 17 or hanging on to it?

The story of the 17 outrage 1 is a rather sad one,....
My son and i completely restored her in original new state, and traded her for a 19 outrage II in mind condition. The new owner took the 17 to croatia on holiday were it broke loose from its mooring booy and entered on the rocks with as result an unrepairable damage.

However the 17 was a fantastic bleuwater fishing platform with its 115 hp Yamaha fourstroke.

On our new 22 Temptation is just a little work to be done, and we really are looking forward to make her look shiny like new again.

Yeah the sad thing is that some one bought the 17 and repaired her but ir was not well sone.
The hull is de- laminated and a lot of water intrusion is factual. Whenthis boat was put in a heated painting cabin to dry, the steam came out every place were polyesther was used to fill al the holes..... A sad story for those who will pay top euro for buying this whaler in future, it is a goodlookin wreck.
