OK, I have looked at every site I can find and have not been able to find interior plans _with dimesions_ for a 15' Super Sport. You know the one with the box behind the rear seat. Have parts manuals, wood location diagrams but no plans. Anybody out there know where to look?
Have an '86 Striper going for a conversion.
I can make it up as I go but would like to follow a set of factory style drawiongs for guidance.

Do yourself a favor and raise the interior 3 inches all around...trust me, you'll be glad you did!

I second the center console & leaning post/seat set-up.
LOT'S of room to move around the boat.
Good storage & most important you can sit in comfort OR
stand & drive.
Add a grab rail to the console & you also have a good hand-hold, for when it's rough.
...
SO MUCH BETTER than the original bench set-up!

Sounds wonderful. However, the logistics get a little challenging. Bink, having any more luck than myself?
I love both of my 15's, but I also love to fish. Having started my conversion, you are challenged with some standard issues, but the sum is more than their parts.
Ultimately, you want to move weight forward, if considering four stroke reliability, as well as a jack plate for shallower draft. A small feat in itself.
Next you have to clear the deck of as much clutter as possible. And remember that this hull is NOT steady at rest, and becomes difficult when distributing weight vertically versus horizontally.
Example: Small aftermarket consul. Raised high enough to locate Group 24 battery under/inside consul.
Next fuel cell size and location. Considered glassing a floor into consul and mounting battery inside. Then mount fuel cell to deck below. I DO NOT WANT TO EVER WITNESS ANOTHER BATTERY BLOW ANOTHER CELL, regardless of fuel cell location!!!
I had a smaller scale custom leaning post built. Fuel cell fits below nicely and can be used as a rear facing footrest. However, myself and partner had better have smaller than 30 inch waists to sit side by side fishing aft!
Now you have the livewell issue. The anchor locker is just that. And a 48 quart cooler is mandatory forward of consul, full of adult beverages, for Ballast, of course. Then storing life jackets, flares, extinguisher, and the like. Yes, this has been thought through for many years of Happy Whalering.

My center console that I designed and built for my 15 footer is finished and sitting in the boat. The helm and steering wheel are installed. I'll get some pics on here shortly. Thing is I'm having trouble with my Photobucket, so I need to find another way. I'm going to use a custom RPS seat on this boat. I'm in the midst of designing and building one. A 12 gallon tank will fit under the seat. The seat bottom will be 16" high, and 32" wide. Any wider and it limits your room to walk aroung it. Won't be using Z-legs. they look flat out ugly. I designed something similar but built from 2" aluminim pipe that looks pretty cool, I think. I'm getting some bids to build it from a couple of T-top/tower builders. I like RPS seats better than leaning posts in a small boat as you can reverse the seating for fishing over the stern. As far as the center console, it is mounted a few inches forward for better weight distribution, the battery sits inside, with a mahogany shelf above it, the top fiberglass section is hinged, and can be tilted up for easier access to working inside it, and the rest of the console is Sapele mahogany.
I admit to dragging my feet working on this boat(2 years), building a plug and mold for the glass part of the console turned into a hassle, but was a learning process, but it will be done for Nicks outing on 4/4

Thanks Bink. Got the email last night. Going to try to make it. Sold the power for the CC so if the Standard doesn't sell I'll bring that. Going to be in Spring Hill last week of Apr. and first week of May with same.
Still trying to figure out how to stack fuel cell, consul floor, battery all in vertical line for center of gravity, and leave area under leaning post for a Kodiak type of livewell for White baits. Take care. zot.

Might be a little off track.....but
I installed a nice round live-well in front of the console.
The water inlet & outlet going through two through hull fittings inside the console.
Yes, custom glassed pockets were made for the through-hull fittings & valves.
Battery inside the console, fuel under the custom aluminum
seat.
Good weight distribution & the added 15 to 20 gallons of live-well weight balanced nicely.
Yes the cooler was limited to a small soft side carry on.
But the focus was to create a good fishing boat...

Nice idea, Russ, I haven't thought about a live well in a small Whaler, I was planning on using an overboard bait bucket, kind of crude I know. I don't believe its necessary or even desirable to restore a Whaler back to original. If they gave away trophies for perfect restorations it would be different. Things are different now and most folks don't want to sit on a mahogany plank with their chin resting on their knees. With the low sides of a 13 and 15 foot Whaler a tall center console would look out of place.

I don't think so, the discussion was about different configurations of the 15 ft Whaler other than the original mahogany versions.
