I am starting this thread in order to give OMCRobert a place to present his view of the way the outboard manufacturers are intertwined in marketing agreements and buy and sell from each other. He apparently holds views that disagree with almost everything I know to be a fact, and I wish to give him a platform to spread his view to all of the interested readers that visit this website.

No thanks. I don't know anything about the agreements and that is my point.

I contend that you do not either and that all the things that you hold to be facts about those agreements is pure speculation based upon unsubstantiated anonymous internet posts and skewed biased theory as those facts are not public.

That is all.

I believe your position is that because you don't know anything, then no one else can know anything, and the topic can never be discussed, at least with you. Perhaps the best way for you to adhere to that position is to stop joining into discussion on those topics you feel cannot be discussed.

Lots of people are in the know. I am sure that hundreds of people know the intricate details and workings of the joint venture and partnership agreements or how outboard manufacturers are intertwined in marketing agreements and buy and sell from each other. I am also sure that you are not one of those people. You provide no facts or proof and will never back up your statements. I am just calling you out for pretending to know when you do not.

I freely admit that I do not know but you will not.

I enjoy your forum and I thank you for it.

I did not start this thread but I respectfully request it to be deleted. It has a tone that I do not wish to continue with. Thank you.

When I make statements about these topics, I include quotations, I cite the author, and I provide hyperlinks to the source material. It is impossible for me to accept your representation that the material I have researched and am quoting is not factual. It is impossible for me to accept your representation that I have no knowledge of these topics. It is impossible for me to accept your position that these topics cannot be discussed with any factual basis by anyone.

I regret that you do not like my opinion on these topics, but my opinion is clearly presented and supported by many facts, references, citations, and quotations. It is impossible for me to simple dismiss all of that research, and to adopt your position that I know nothing at all about these matters.

I am confused by the request to delete this topic. I did not introduce this topic, I simply moved it from another discussion, where it was a sidebar, into its own thread.

Again, the best way to stop discussion on this topic is to not initiate a discussion on this topic as a sidebar to other discussions.
