I visited the show yesterday and overall was impressed by several new boats. The Grady team was very knowledgeable and spent significant time explaining dead rise and engineering of the hull. Everglades and regulator's team appeared proud of their product as they decribed its uniqueness. However, when we went to Whaler I was thoroughly disappointed by the product and sales team. I asked several questions about the new hull and the rep was ignorant to all and even stated he did not know the price of the hull he was describing. We looked in the bilge area and there was standing water. His explanation was the boat must have been outside and the ice melted. I have always considered BW to be the elite brand but lately I can say I was embarrassed by this showing and lack of attention to detail that all serious boaters aspire to.

I was at the Atlantic City Boat show opening day - I was in town for business so I spent a few hours at the show. I have to agree the Boston Whaler display was poorly represented and to be honest their prices have just blown completely out of proportion. The 150 Boston Whaler Super Sport without any notable options boat show special was $19995.00 A $20k 15 foot bare bones boat? The you go over to the $100k plus new dual console Vantage and really scratch your head.

I walked around there a bit too yesterday.
The new Boston Whaler Vantage models were on display. It's an interesting concept in design. A lot of other manufacturers are offering similar size boats of similar design- looks like a trend. A nice size family and entertaining boat that can be fished. Not my style but still a very nice boat. I would think it would be a very nice day on the water in one.
I really wanted to see the larger Montauk models as I am somewhat seriously considering one. It was a bummer the line up was limited to the 150. Awesome boat- too small for me though.
A lot of nice boats and engines. There really are some very good choices available from all manufacturers. It's amazing how far boat and outboard technology and quality has progressed in just over the past 10-15 years.
It was worth the walk around. I haven't been to a boat show in years.

Yes that model did appeal to me and reminded me a little of the Revenge with a lot more bells and whistles. You are right a lot of companies seem to be offering that dual counsel bow rider model. Show was worth it but Whaler came up real short on presentation.
