I am looking at a whaler that is across the country from me. It has a trailer but it is old and I would not trust it for a long haul. Does anyone know of a reliable boat transport company that would move the whaler and trailer on a truck so that the trailer is not on the road? Thanks Stephen |

Since it sounds like you want to keep the whaler if you plan to send it across the country. I would trash your old trailer (if it is junk) spend the bucks and get a good new one. Then someone could tow the boat cheaper than a load and you would have a new trailer at the end of the trip... |

I just had a 21 Outrage shipped from Long Island NY to Merritt Island Florida. I used USHIP as I had done before for other shipments - Thankfully I picked a flatbed hauler as I had some concerns about the trailer. The crossmember broke even sitting on the flatbed so it was a good call. The shipper was really good. Very professional. Cost was $1400- for an 1154 mile shipment. (cost to have someone tow it down on its trailer was around $900) - The shipper was able to keep the costs low by me being flexible getting it here so he could combine shipments. The shippers info is. Here is a picture of it when it arrived last week. |
