And there it is again, The first Day of Spring is upon us again. Time to get the door opened and to look at Spring cleaning. By Spring cleaning I meant to get the decks cleared of junk, discards and left over parts. Time to get the old out and to seek the new items and essentials to get us on the water at the earliest good tide. Time to have a few things for sale and possibly update the too often misleading GPS guaranteed to fail when needed most. Tires pressure checked, And to just possibly show off the Whaler on a drive to the boatyard. What would be the first day of Spring without the pleasure of giving the Whaler a bit of spit and shine just for the sake of getting in the spirit for this year's boating season? Who's Your Buddy ,Who's Your Friend on this very day and the importantly awaited tomorrow... the First Day Of Spring? Your Fateful Whaler Friend of course.. I cant possibly be the only one to have noticed... Give me a come back on your situations from the fresh water and tidal regions.

The pile of snow at the end of the driveway has melted down to only be three- feet high from the five-foot-high pile of last week. |

it's been 80-85 degrees for awhile down here. The largemouth bass are on their spawning beds, and it's cool enough to reduce the impact of wakeboard boats spewing wakes and hip-hop noise. We can't complain. I know it has been a long winter for the midwest. I'm glad open water is getting close enough to think about. |

Today I took my classic 16-foot Whaler to the shop so its 90-HP Evinrude E-Tec engine can get its 3-year/300-hour service. I'm looking forward to seeing the engine reports which are provided as part of this service visit. |
