There is a new post of Facebook for the Official Boston Whaler Owners Club worth looking at. If you have no access to Facebook here is the post and two of the pictures. The power choice on the transoms is quite interesting for sure. The local Boston Whaler dealer in Guatemala, Representaciones Marinas, recently held an owners event in Rio Dulce that was a huge success! The crowd of more than 30 boats and 150 people had a great time mingling with fellow Whaler owners and friends. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v472/sraab928/Misc%20Whaler%20Pics/ whalere-tec_zps8acd513d.jpg |

Those outrage hulls look great with the white evinrude etec engines. |

Isaw that, I was very surprised to see Boston Whaler show boats on their page without Mercury engines. Looks good! |

I must agree - the white motors did look quite attractive on the transom. I wonder if there are issues in Guatemala with importing Mercury motors? |

Likely less about importing and more about service |

Did you guys see the picture of the guy with the red/whith e striped shirt in the blue boat with the black OB in front of the orange barge. That skiff with him at the console in the back, 8"+ above water at the bow at idle/stand still. That boat will skip across the water. And yes those light colored engines do look good but more girly than the bad-ass black engines. |

You may be right Jeff - its just weird - among those pictures the only black outboard is on a non Boston Whaler (I think Panga style) boat. The other outboard brand represented was Yamaha with trips on the bigger Whaler there. |
