Hello, couple weeks ago I found this product at a boat flea market. It replaces foam, its for filling in voids and repairing transoms. I know the product has been out for a while but this is the 1st time I have seen it. It mixes like fiberglass resin, then you pour it in place. Comes in 1-2-5 gal buckets. No water can penetrate the material once it has set up, light weigh, floats and very strong. Right now I do not think there is any product out there that will match this.(no more pouring foam for me) Its called Seacast, Made in Edgewater Fla, 386 428 4722 www.transomrepair.net

I seem to remember something similar...or maybe the same stuff. There were a few posts about it a long while ago...people seemed to like the concept. Would be cool to know if anyone has used it before and how it held up over the years.

I have read about people using SeaCast in transom repairs and replacements as well as stringers too for many years. There are articles here, on the hull truth and others on Classic Mako and Classic SeaCraft.

Seacast has been around for a while. Like Jeff, I recall hearing about it previously.

The guys over at ClassicMako do many pourable transome repairs. Nida Pour is another popular option.

It should not replace foam as it is heavy. It can replace wood in transoms and wood stringers.

A friend of mine is a Seacast dealer and has done several transom and stringer repairs. Follow the u tube suggestions and it works well. The work is in the prep and getting the wood all cleaned out.

I seem to remember reading about a transom repair on a Whaler that used this product.
