I have a pre-smirk Montauk 17. Somebody I know would like to sell a mooring cover for a post smirk Montauk 17

Does anybody know if this will fit on my boat?

Thanks!

What type of cover? They range from custom fitted (Mills) to drawstring bags that fit almost anything of about the same shape and length.

Not sure - the seller told me that it's an official boston whaler product. It's blue and used a type of clamp to secure to the bow rails and he also mentioned that it's secures to the rub rail.

It's a Mills, blue Sunbrella. It will fit either hull, smirked or non-smirked.

I had a Mills Cover for my Montauk. Great design and craftsmanship. Hard to imagine a better cover for a Montauk. Those clips made it unnecessary to have multiple straps down to the trailer frame to keep the fabric taught enough to shed rain.

I don't want to take away from this thread but is there such a thing as a cover that fits over the CC & RPS together made per BW specs (i.e. Mills) or are those custom made.
I'm looking for one single cover that goes over both the Center Console and the Pilot Seat and I can then set my front cooler seat in between and have all it covered.
Let me know if there is such an option B-4 I go to the local canvas shop and have a sunbrella one made and will be out of a boat for a couple of weeks. (2008 Montauk 150)

EJO, the Mills will do all you want and will be a long term investment in a very high quality item. Be prepared to pay for the quality, but nothing else really compares.

^^ Reading again, I answered for a full cover that would do what you ask. But do you want to ONLY cover the console and RPS? In that case Mills does make that cover as well. Call them to discuss.

Mills makes a console cover, they make an RPS cover but they do not offer a single cover for both.

Thanks Tom.

The cover I have that's a combined cover is obviously a close copy of a Mills and is of material that is not distinguishable from Mills Canvas. I purchased it used without any provinence or representation. I also have a Mills console cover and a separate RPS cover, as you describe (and a Mills mooring cover). Seems like Mills is missing that one option that we all might like. I bet they would make it on request.

<Scratches head and wonders if what I have might be a one-off from them, since it's *identical* to Mills material and methods>.

Wm J. Mills & Co. use Glen Raven Mills' SUNBRELLA as the fabric for most of their boat canvas. This is a very common material for boat canvas and is used by many shops.
