I have read somewhere that my boat needs a 20" shaft but the info on here about my specific boat is a little muddy. The boat is a 1977 Outrage 19.4 The reference section doesnt have this boat specifically(that I can find) but it does have a section for Outrage 19, 19, 19 II, but the pics are all a little different than mine. [Please sure PERFORMANCE discussion to discuss propeller selection and choices.--jimh] |

Yes, the 1977 Outrage 19 requires a 20" shaft length motor(s). |

The REFERENCE section has specific information for your boat; the dimensions and specifications are listed as "19-OUTRAGE" and with production epoch 1973 to 1978. That looks rather specific and non-muddy to me. The engine shaft length is found in the column SGL HT (single engine transom height) as 20-inches. |

Jim, I knew I had seen that before, but... If you look at "OUTRAGE 18-foot Hull (also known as "19" in c.1991-1992" (which is the closest thing to 19 I could find)under dimesions and specifications it doesn't bring that section up, maybe a link there would help others, thanks for sharing. or maybe a specific link for 19 foot boats since they dont fall into any of the categories listed for that age range. |
