posted 05-28-2014 11:28 AM ET (US) I was wondering what type and size hoist anyone is using or has used for their 13 footer. I've been looking around to see what would work best, but haven't found much. There were some previous posts where people were using a PWC hoist, but there was no mention of actual hoist size. What I've seen is that most PWC hoists are only 64" wide. Being that my whaler is 65" wide, this could be a problem, unless the bow of the boat can fit in between the two posts (note that most PWC hoists are cantilever and only have two front posts). Can someone with experience help?
Thanks! -Chris

Here is my Mckee 14 on a Jetski lift - The McKee is heavier than the 13 Boston Whaler - Lift does a great job - Its from Quality Aluminum Boat Lifts -

I have a vertical lift that was used for a Glasspar G3 (13-7)--both for sale. I am located in Waterford MI. Ph # 248-310-9638 if interested. Jim--I know this in the wrong spot but probably would not be connected.

Another way to go would be a davit, one davit would work on the 13 whaler, I had one when I lived in the keys, I took a 3 inch I beam 6 ft long and connected three cables to it to raise the whaler, then I could swing the boat on the dock on a support I made for it. worked just fine
