Yesterday at the Boggy Point Ramp in Orange Beach, AL MarineMax was launching a new boat for delivery to the buyer. The 320 Outrage with twin 300 Verados was beautiful and trailer launched easily. The boat was very lightly loaded with, I assume, a full fuel tank and only the delivery captain. The ramp is surrounded by a no wake zone and the boat was at idle speed until it left the zone. At that point the captain went to WOT and the Outrage literally jumped onto plane. I estimate it took two to three seconds for the boat to reach full plane. The engines were completely silent until the throttles were opened. At speed the boat appeared to be running on only the rearmost third or less of it's bottom. That was a very impressive package. It is a beautiful boat. Here is a link from BoatTest.com that shows a lot of detail including running and performance numbers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtKEOx21Fas Sterling |

I had a 320 w/ twin 275 Verados, Indeed a great boat and very fast. I had an 07 w/Cuddy. It was 9000 lbs empty and it jumped right on plane with those Verados. You could'nt even tell they were running unless you looked at the tachs or the water stream coming out of them. Boy do I miss her!!!! |
