My Best Wishes to all my Whaler Friends on this Fourth Of July.
A time to celebrate
A time to be safe on the water and ashore.

Today we are celebrating--with a lot of outdoor cooking--the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence from England. This is 238th Anniversary. I distinctly remember all the fuss and hoopla of the 200th anniversary in 1976. I look forward to the 250th anniversary in 2026.

It seems a bit hard to believe that the United States of America has been in existence for only 238-years. I am 63-years old, and that means that I have been alive for more than one-quarter of the time that the USA has existed.

If you think our country is divided today, it was worse before and during the Revolution.

God Bless all the troops past and present that allow us to keep this country free all these years.
