Hello, Thought I give everyone a hello from Croatia. Yesterday we took our first long haul offshore trip with our Ventura 210 from the island of Korcula to Palagruza which is right in the middle of the Adriatic sea. Going there it took us about 3 hours including refuelling stop at Vis island. Getting back was quiet a ride - 19 kt winds with big waves (2m) 5-6 on the Beufort scale we could not go fast and were getting a lot of water. The Whaler handled it very well all the water was clearing in the back and it did not roll too much on the big swells. But pretty scary experience at times you feel what is the limit of the boat. The only negative feedback besides getting in water the front pounds a lot, this is not comfortable for the person sitting in the front. But otherwise it was a great trip. Looks like a great trip you had. Should have gone a little farther South to Peschici you were half way there. You are blessed with the Adriatic Sea as it is a wonderful boating paradise especially on your side. |
