Mr. "Red sky at night"...... A true gentleman. Always helping his fellow man.You don't find too many J B Cornwells these days. May he rest in peace. |

Since 2001 he had contributed over 3,100 posts on CW. His blogs/articles on iboats where always well written and entertaining. He will surely be missed. I truly wish JB has found his everlasting "Red Sky at Night". |

I knew J B Cornwell only through his many posts, here and then later on iBoats. He was a good fellow. To hear he has passed away will sadden anyone who knew him. |

A good guy who always was knowledgeable on point with his postings and a very respected member of the whole community. Sad |

Well, damn. And he even came back here to CWW about a year a go for a short visit... and was as helpful as ever. The world is an emptier place when one of it's "oracles" leaves us. -Peter |

A fellow who never minded sharing of his experiences, enthusiasm and advises. By the words in comments read here he was more of a "doer" then a "politician". "Red Skies At Night" will live in our memory and so will he. Regards to his family. |

I don't make it over to this or really any online forums often anymore, but pop in here to see this is really sad. I bought JBs old Montauk sometime around '03 or '04 and his son delivered it all the way from Texas. He's someone who I'd often think about and mean to get back in touch with but everyday life would always seem to get in the way. JB was a great guy and very interesting person to talk to. Regrettably these last few years I've had very little contact with him unfortunately but would look him up and iboats on occasion and I know he had a good amount of health issues as of late. Best wish's to his many children and grandchildren.
