The 1998 to 2001 the Boston Whaler Ventura 18 boat weighs 1950-lbs. The 2002 to 2009 Ventura 18 weighs 2300-lbs. Where did the newer model's extra weight come from? Why? Both have maximum power rating of 150-HP. Heard that a newer model 18 Ventura is sluggish even with 150-HP.

Whaler customer service should know why there is a difference in weight of 350-lbs in the Boston Whaler VENTURA 18 in different model years. It might be something as simple as an error in the catalogue.
