I have to give RANGER TUGS and the owners of RANGER TUGS a bit of recognition. The boat company and its boat owners have put together some impressive rendezvous events this year. A rendezvous in Roche Harbor resort and marina on San Juan Island, Washington, drew 127 Ranger Tug boats and over 300 crew members in October 2014. Here is a link to a very high-resolution image of the Roche Harbor gathering:

You'll notice there is a Boston Whaler tied to the dock in the foreground. That is quite a gathering of boats from one brand. The factory brought 11 boats to the rendezvous. It is nice to see a gathering of boat owners with a keen brand interest.

A few years ago Boston Whaler sponsored several events like this in the Great Lakes area. Most of the boats and owners that came were folks that still owned classic-era boats. Maybe that dampened the factory's and dealer's enthusiasm for sponsoring the event. With the steep decline in boat sales in the 2008 to 2012 epoch, I can understand that a boat builder might be a little reluctant to spend money on rendezvous events. A turn out of 127 boats at Roche Harbor seems to show that such events can be quite a success. I think RANGER TUGS are built not far from Roche Harbor in Kent, Washington.

There was also a Ranger Tug rendezvous in Little Current, Ontario, in August 2014. It drew 14 to 15 boats and about 33 crew members. It filled up the A-DOCK at the Port of Little Current.

Looking more closely at that high-resolution image, I see another Boston Whaler, a 170 MONTAUK, underway behind the main dock.
