Writing this from Bimini, where it looks like I'm stuck for a week in winds too strong to buck to move any further south towards the Exumas. Hoping all are well and enjoying the holiday. Some of us have boats on blocks or trailers and are hunkered down for the winter; others are still out boating. Passing the sea bouy two days ago out of Biscayne Bay I saw a 17-foot 'Tauk anchored up and fishing, in what had to be 3 to 5-foot chop. It was a nice sight to see. No Bahamian Whalers sighted yet, but hope springs eternal. Turkey and Stuffing in the oven in the galley, cranberries on ice, and now cutting open a coconut knocked from a tree with a boathook. Dave .

Hi Dave--We are enjoying the day off. Winter took a reprieve. No snow here now. Temperatures are moderate and normal range for a change. Listening to the furnace make a funny noise--that will have to be fixed soon. Heading to an early dinner at my sister-in-law's home.Have a safe voyage. Email me a good image and I'll include it here. |

Dave,I envy you and your crew. Have a great Thanksgiving and a safe passage the Exumas... Where in particular are you headed, Great Exuma, Little Exuma or The Exuma Cays? Keep us landlubbers up to date with your travels if you can or care to... Best Norm |
