As far as boating goes,
The Island of Cuba could be an interesting travel opportunity for some adventurous owners.
The Obama interview defining some details about the lift of the fifty year old Cuban embargo has brought more questions that will lead to more clarity on the subject.
Would you enjoy to buy your newly afford ably legal Cuban Cigars?
This could be just the right time to visit and to make an opinion for yourself.
Beside for buying your "Fresh" cigars;
Would you be for or against this newest opportunity to take your boat to the Cuban coasts?

Many old movies from Hemmingway novels, etc. Watched "The Gun Runners" (1958) a while back with Audie Murphy (WWII Medal of Honor winner).

I spent 12 days in Cuba last January. Very different experience than I expected. Great people, charming island. Definitely have their infrastructure issues.
I would be a shame if it got too westernized
In Veradero, the 'resort' area they're building lots of large boat slips. It's the closest point to Miami, and Cubans can't own boats without permits. They've been preparing for it to open
