At the Seattle Boat Show this year they have a new Evinrude ETEC G2 outboard in Seattle Seahawks colors and the "12th Man" logo.
Pretty cool.
The Patriots are good, but they haven't seen a defense like ours in a LONG time.
Go Hawks!!

Given the heritage of the Boston Whaler, true fans will be rooting for New England, wouldn't you think?

Jeff--I followed your link. At first, I thought, "What's he talking about?" Then I got it. Very funny!

Its created a lot of trash talking but the Hawks need to stay focused for the day. Unfortunately they have some bad timing for other distractions going on that could effect the outcome but they are all professionals, they are the only ones that can control the game on the field. They certainly have great character on their team it will be interesting. I think they can repeat but they play another very good talented team that believes as well.

Rockland, MA is solidly New England Patriots country. Dick Fisher was a Pats fan. Seattle wanna be's should stick with pilot house brands

Go Pats! All the NE haters can call us what you like...no proof of any wrongdoing on this latest witch hunt! NFL is looking like a circus right now! Looking forward to a great game!

The Patriots has reached the exalted level that all teams aspire to, but few achieve - that is to be hated by everyone except their own local fans.

The New York Yankees come to mind as another such team, and maybe the Montreal Canadiens.

As a Seahawks fan living in Washington State, I think this Super Bowl is a great matchup between the two best teams in the NFL.
We have huge respect for the new England Patriots including coaches and players.
In regards to Deflategate, we need to keep in mind the sports media are mostly the same type elitist liberals as CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS (ESPN is owned by ABC). They have an agenda, not to report sports news, but to make their own news by attempting to destroy a person or an American institution.

I somehow got the impression that the Seahawks were there so they wouldn't get fined.

The relationship between Boston Whaler and New England Patriots was never smooth. When the Patriots started up in the old AFL in 1960, they chose the name of Boston Patriots. This offended Dick Fisher's startup boat company, Boston Whaler which was into its third year of production. Dick apparently forsaw the shady reputation of the Patriots, and through shrewed political and business moves forced the Patriots to adopt the name "New England" Patriots, to spread the blame around. Finally Dick Fisher sold his company and the new buyer moved the operation to Edgewater Florida in 1988, as the then CEO was a Miami Dolphin fan.

Rich--your story is interesting, but one detail is wrong. The football team could not use "Boston" in their name because Mercury had a patent of the use of the name "Boston".

Now that the game is over in no disrespect, but nobody could feel more deflated then the Seahawks players. Shocking play call at the end there by the skipper. Never the less congrats to the Pats for their win.

Swist I agree, but as for the Habs (Montreal Canadiens) they have had some not so memorable teams for quite a few years now, so time has past for most generations to not feel that dynasty pain that use to give opponents fans sleepless nights over the summers for several decades. However saying that they do finally have a real good team again perhaps not dynasty stuff but a real solid organization from top to bottom. They are in it again thats for certain which will likely last some time I'm sure.

They were the Boston Patriots, playing their AFL games at Fenway, Harvard,BU and BC stadiums until they built their own in Foxboro.

Well some things never change...Montreal Canadiens defeated the Boston Bruins again last night at TD Garden. "Les Habitants plus fort que Bruins"

Yep they really have Boston's number. The speed is too much for Boston right now. If they can't catch them, they just follow their lead and that won't work. The goalie makes his saves some spectacular and its game over. Boston will play their game to be big bad bruins but as soon as thats recognized by the Habs they set Boston up on a turnover and its in their net. After that its just keep away until the buzzer goes.

I know what does this have to do with Seattle boat show right? Nothing alhtough Seattle may be getting a NHL team soon.
