I just thought I would start a thread to see who was going to the Miami Boatshow this year. I will be flying in on this Friday (13th) and should be into the show (convention center) by noon. I plan to be there all day. Then we will split Saturday between Sea Isle (2/3) and Collins Ave (1/3).

I would be there with my Father and Son too. It's been a dream to go to this show with my father for almost 4 I get to go with him and my little guy. It's going to be a great time.

Please stop by the Mercury booth and find out what they are unveiling. Most of the threads on here speculate a 400HP Verado. I am hoping for a 200HP version of their highly successful 150HP Fourstroke.

Just saw an ad for the EZ Loader Trailer "Robo Trailer Valet". In the place of a tongue jack, looks like a mini tank with rubber tracks, remote control and rechargeable battery.
Demonstrations at the Miami Boat Show - EZ Loader booth #3231.
Let us know if it's as cool as it looks.

Mambo, Everything I have read and seen leads me to believe it is a 400 Verado...

Don, I will keep and eye out for you and Elsa. BTW When did you move onto a "snowbird" trawler? That's a great idea for a winter get away. Sure beats a condo!

Yeah Jeff, that trawler idea has my wheels turning. It is the same reasoning as to why I have given up on buying a cabin in northern Michigan, the taxes are a killer. With a large boat/trawler you can have a cabin in a different place every winter.

Elsa and I bought a Mainship trawler in December. It was in Norfolk so we moved it to Florida for the winter. We have been able to get down here to enjoy her for a week or so every month. When spring comes we will move her up to her new home in Cheboygan.

Apparently, they unveil the winners yesterday at the MIBS: miami-international-boat-show-innovation-award-winners-honored/

There isn't much details, but it seems the E-TEC G2 won in the Outboard Engines category and the Navionics SonarCharts in the Consumer Electronics.

Has anyone seen anything significant offered from Yamaha Outboards?
