I attempted to install a newly purchased Mariner 110 extinguisher this afternoon. I was replacing a five year old version of the 110 which I bought on a BOGO deal from West Marine last week. The extinguisher has a new style activation device which is a quarter inch or so longer than the older 110. The new 110 will not fit in the standard 2009 190 Montauk extinguisher pocket. If I'm unable to find a version that fits I'll have to change the existing pocket or continue to use older extinguishers. I believe there is a smaller Mariner but with a 60 gallon fuel tank I prefer the larger 110. I imagine there are many other boats equipped with the same size pocket as my Montauk. Some improvements aren't! Butch |
