Hello All,

I am hoping for some input on a good source to purchase the interior components (seats, console, side rails and forward hatch cover) for a 1984 13' Sport. Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

You have two choices

First is Nautical Lumber / Neptune Yacht Refinishing. They reproduce all the wooden components for Classic Whalers. They do it by hand here in the US and all are done to order. Their quality and finishes are truly top notch. Though they do take time.

Second is Specialty Marine. They also reproduce all the wooden components for Classic Whalers. Their products are mostly overseas and their finishes are really thin and will not last a quarter of the time as you would get from a finish like Nautical Lumber produces. Also, I have seen many cases here Specialty's interior components have not fit correctly and people have had to cut and make adjustments once the items have been delivered. The one good thing is, most of their stuff is in stock, or can be shipping very quickly. So, if you are not overly concerned with quality and just need something right away they are an option.

There are more than 2 choices. The gentleman that builds Whaler interiors for Metan Marine is Robert Latourelle (978-837-8808). He has a shop behind his house just north of Boston. He's doing a Sakonnet interior for me.
