Hey all,

I'm new to the forum, but I have valued the threads the past two years as I went from boatless to a 2012 Montauk 190 owner (and a 150 Verado owner). Living part time in the San Juan Islands, this has been a perfect fishing and excursion boat for my family.

Even in the summer, it can get quite chilly on the boat. My wife wants a little wind break. I've checked out the T-Topless with gull wings and plastic windshield. It looks solid.

Any thoughts about the [T-Topless with gull wings and plastic windshield for a Montauk 190]? Any Montauk owners have [a T-Topless with gull wings and plastic windshield] installed? Any positives or negatives using [[T-Topless with gull wings and plastic windshield for a Montauk 190]? Most things I see posted are from 2009 and before.

Many thanks for your advise.

Cheers.

The T-Topless system has always struck me as a rattletrap of parts that would over load the console railing and the console itself with loads it was not designed for.

The owner is also known to spam entire websites by taking emails from websites, known to pose as a "new memeber" who is posting obvious spam like glowing reviews of this new product they bought and just have to tell everyone about, known to pose as a "new member" to ask leading questions about the "T-Topless" system so he can came back and have a discussion about how great he thinks the product is and other just general poor and cheesy marketing practices.

I'd want to see one in person before I took the plunge. The website looks decent and the product could be good, but I wouldn't want to spend a thousand dollars to find out. My biggest concern would be the stress on the console railing. If [the stress] was not [too much], [the T-Top product] might be a viable alternative [to other canvas systems] for a Montauk.

Guys - thanks for your responses. I agree about seeing one in person before buying. Does anyone out there have this system and can comment on it?

Cheers,
PNW
