Does anyone have recent experience with [the vendor Nautical Lumber AKA Neptune Yacht] making classic Boston Whaler consoles or reversible pilot seats? I see they are a continuouswave-recommended supplier. Local search isn't showing much past 2010. They have a [Facebook] page. I'd really like to know if anyone has placed an order with them in the past year or two, how the products turned out, and what was their overall experience. Thanks.

Purchase an interior from him but it was more than two years ago, excellent work and did some changes to my specs. I would use him again. I heard he was moving into a bigger shop. I would contact, him speak to him before doing anything...good luck

Nautical Lumber moved about two years ago, as I recall, from a location far from the water, to a very nice workshop right at a major marina with hundreds of slips. They're also doing business as Neptune Yacht Refinishing, and they have taken on many projects involving custom wood and fiberglass work on larger boats. Last summer they were so busy their shop was working very long hours to keep up with demand.

I think they're so busy with their yacht carpentry and refinishing work that the website has been somewhat neglected.

For the record I ordered a new console and RPS (classic mahogany style) from Nautical Lumber last February and received it in June.

Just ordered 2 louvered doors for the center console from Specialty Marine and rec'd in about 10 days. Pricey but well crafted and included all the hardware.
