I am in the process of purchasing this boat. Title says 1971 19ft Whaler. I measured it, it is 19ft on the nose pretty much.

According to this website, there was never a 1971 19ft Whaler made?
Any ideas? I just want to understand what I am working with here.

Wow, seriously? I may have been taken for a ride then? The title says Boston Whaler on it. Okay then So McKee? Wow. I actually bought this thing.

Well, I hope you did not pay a price for it that would be comparable to a Whaler.
You are not the first person to be duped into buying a boat that was listed as a Whaler, when it really was another manufacturer. And you certainly will not be the last.

Actually, McKee Craft boats are just as good as Whalers, although not as well known. Much rarer and more distinctive, and some of the models I have seen have better features compared to comparable Whalers.
The boat looks very nice, and in decent shape too - enjoy it!

McKee Craft.... hmmm maybe. Dell Quay perhaps...Whaler.. nope.
Could be anything really. I think you have case for a refund.

I had a old 14 Mckee they seem to have more fiberglass than the whalers,

Spoke with the seller and he is will to give back some cash on it and I think it's a fair deal. With his cash back I spent 3k for the boat, trailer and motor. Trolling motor and delivery also included. Thoughts on that?

If you are happy with the deal, that is all that matters.

Yes, I am pretty disappointed that this isn't a Whaler. Live and learn I suppose. I do want to learn how to repair fiberglass and restore boats. So I see this as a "meant to be situation." I will find the silver lining.
There just are not the resources out there on [McKee Craft boats] as there are on [Boston Whaler boats]. I will keep digging. Thanks for all your help everyone.
