Does anyone know what the maximum engine weight was for a 2008 190 Montauk?

I would think the 135 Verado that was an engine choice would weigh more than that.

Bought mine with the Merc 115, could not wait to get rid of it! After one year I sold the Merc and bought the E-Tec 150, WOW, never looked back and it weighs less than 410 lbs.

Fred,

Just for info the Gen II 135 HP Verado and the Gen II 200 HP Verado weigh the same. The ONLY difference between the two engines is the ECU. As soon as the warranty on my 135 HP Verado expires I'll either replace it's ECU with a 200 HP ECU or send it's ECU off to be reworked.

We can compare results when that happens. It should be interesting. A heavier 200 HP supercharged four stroke vs a lighter (I assume) 150 HP two stroke engine. I would expect the two stroke to have the edge in acceleration and fuel economy while the four stroke may win the WOT speed race. Of course mounting and propeller are unknown variables and the weight of your kicker may eliminate the two stroke weight advantage.
