This motor runs great, and you are more than welcome to talk to the repair shop that handles all my repair. I am a preventitive maintenance person because i use this boat for getting back, and forth to work in some pretty fowl weather, ie. tune-up once a yr., change lower unit 2-3 times a year. Infact this lower unit has just ran out of warrentee last month it was rebuilt at florida offshore power
