I am selling my 1997 Montauk. 10 K. Im the second owner of this excellent condition Boston Whaler. I will be keeping my 1976 Newport that I have owned for 18 years. Engine is the orginal 1997 Johnson 90 HP SPL two stroke with around 220 hours. No cracks or marks on the boat or motor. The boat has always been covered in boat lift or garage. 24 gal. Pate fuel tank, 178c Garmin gps, chart, etc. Factory bimini top and travel cover , both in great shape due to the fact that they were seldom used. Orginal 1997 tralier also seldom used but is in average shape. New battery and bilge pump. email for pics (28 pics total from photobucket) and please make them public if you wish. May be able to transport for a fair fee. $ 10000.00 Thanks Dave , Tampa area |

Actually my former 17' Newtauk is up for sale. 1986 hull fully restored with all new Hall's cushions, Custom Mills mooring cover, etc. 2004 Alum trailer custom made by LoadMaster and a 1999 Suzuki/Evinrude 70hp 4 stroke bought as leftover and installed in 2002 on a jackplate. He's asking $10,900 and wants $10k for it. If boat is as nice as it was 2 years ago when I sold it to him(he says it is nicer)..you better grab it. located in Venice area just north of Pt Charlotte. E-mail me for his # |

It was sold to a young couple living on the water in Clearwater. They are selling the Scarab and want to do more fishing and (crabing) said the young lady. Thats what I love about the Boston Whalers, you can buy one and enjoy it for four years and make a grand when it sells and I still get to keep my gps. Thanks El President (Nick). Dave |

It is the Newport hull with a Montauk console. Basically a Montauk with a bolt on deck that surrounds the hull topsides and supplies some storage and footing. Mine was a factory made custom ordered boat. Probably only a few dozen ever made from the factory...mainly due to being expensive. |

They were custom made by Magic Brush so yes they are still available. I do all my whlaers in different colors...just to be different. My current 13' was done in navy blue. The Newtauk decals were custom by me...half a Newport decal and half a Montauk decal, looks factory though because I used factory decals. There is also a matching green Mills cover, gree bimini and the trailer has matching green tire cover etc. |

Thanks for the reply, do you have any contact info for Magic Brush. I'm new to this Whaler game, having just bought a 1994 Montauk which I am picking up this weekend. Can't wait. I've been running and maintaining a Classic 1965 25 Bertram since 1969. She is a better boat today than she was when new. How did your boat run with the Jack plate on it? Any problems having one on a Montauk? Thanks Trey |
