Are there any wood workers out there that could help produce a trim kit for a plastic fire extinguisher box? The box needs a teak trim of about 1" to 3/4" wide with an inside dimension of 17.25" X 5.5"

Let me know if anyone is up to the task. I replaced the damaged teak box with this aftermarket box and it looks like it. I hope the trim kit will be a compromise.

Thanks for your help,
Jim

Hi SF,

I'd like to build a extinquisher box on my Montauk console, as the '88 didn't have one. Where did you buy the aftermarket box? I'd prefer the plastic box myself, but I would finish the outside edge with teak. That would be fairly simple with mitered corners and chamfered edges. A few brass screws and it would look sweet.

Sail Systems International makes them:

If you would like the small version, give me your address and I'll send one for the cost of shipping. I needed the larger one due to the previous cut out in my super console.

Do you have the ability to make the trim ?
Send me an e- mail if interested.
Thanks, Jim
