I've got a Humminbird Wide 3D Paramount fish finder. It's a
neat 7-beam unit that looks off the sides, and draws a wire
frame representation of the bottom. Poor man's side scan.

It works, except when it gets rough, then it powers itself
down every time you go over a bump.
The problem is a plastic piece inside Humminbird's neat
quick release mechansism. Hbird wanted like $135 (flat rate)
to install a new piece. I've replaced it with the newer
generation version (Matrix 47 3D), but I hate to toss the old
one.

There would be basically two options for fixing it:

- Pay Hbird.
- Cannibalize the plastic part of another HBird fish finder
(I think they all use the same latch mechanism.) that's
died.

It's about 7 years old.

Oh, and the paddlewheel sheared off, so you can't tell speed
or temp.

Make offer.
