Actually those old(1972) rudes like that w/o PTnT only weigh like 265lbs. Would love to drop one on a 15' hull. |

Yesterday I went and looked at the boat, cash in hand. The boat has been severely abused. Boat has been painted and the paint is peeling everywhere. Fiberglass has separated from the foam in a couple of spots. Engine looks ancient and has no tilt and trim. Nothing inside the boat (seats, the little home-made console, Norman pin etc) is original. There is no forward storage compartment and that made me suspicious that it was not even a Whaler but is instead some type of imitation Whaler. It did not even have a Whaler-style rub rail. Buyer beware. |

And you expected what for $1500obo? For a 72 engine it looks pretty clean. |

motor has no value. boat is a money pit that will waste a chunk of your remaining lifetime. this is the kind of posting that should be labelled toxic. |

glad for the update ~ seemed like a good deal... not unusual to find them in that area. |
