I wanted you all to know that today I bought the Outrage 17 that is the subject of the thread that started last week. The price: $10,000 (down from $11,250), including storage for the rest of the winter and de-winterization in the spring. Maybe it is a bit too much money - but, hey, I am in love! I'd like to thank you for your comments. If ever you're in Wachapreague, VA, just look for one of the most beautiful boats in the water. The skipper with the big grin will be me. The gal beside me is my wife, who got me not only to Wachapreague but into that boat.

Congratulations. I used to own the same boat - a 1999 with 115 Merc. It's an excellent boat and 10K is a great price. |

Great choice for your first Whaler, the ride will be better then the Montauk you missed out on. Price sounds good, enjoy the ride! Sea-Ya-Around sometime...Jack |

You will not regret your purchase and the price you paid is very good! I've had mine for 6 years now and it has a 115, top speed is about 36 mph cruises comfortably in the Pacific at around 22mph. To put your price in perspective I will be hoping to get 18,000 for my near Bristol 99 17' Outrage. I just picked up a 21 BW Walkaround. |
