I have a Red Richie Compass that is from a 1980 or 1981 17 foot boat. I will ship this to someone if they have a project that they can use it on. It is in kinda rough condition, but I think all the parts are there. Since it is free, I reserve the right to pick the response I like best. Let me know, I will ship it no charge. Kelly |

Kelly, I will throw my hat out there. I have a 13' Sport I picked up a couple months ago. I traded my vintage Honda Trail motorcycle for the boat. I want to share the same enjoyment of working on boats with my son that I enjoy with my father. While he is a bit young at this time to help, as he grows the boat will be our project and eventually his. In the mean time I just look forward to using the boat as is with a little TLC to get it in running order. I need a compass for the boat as there is not one on it. I would put the trusty little compass to good use for my years and hopefully generations to come. My boy "Q" on his boat. |

I would like to have it so I can sell it on eBay. I'll use the money to buy booze at my local bar. Then I'll stumble home, kick the dog, and slap my wife around. This will help the world by stimulating the economy through eBay fees, increase liquor sales, employ my local bartender, and generating legal fees for my wife's divorce attorney. Also,if you give me the compass I'll send Jeff's kid something he'd rather have -- a coloring book! |

Kelly, I'd be interested in that compass "Pretty Please, Pretty Please, with a cherry on top":) I was told begging dosn't help.... would work well on my 13 sport 1964 SN12,939 thats pretty original. Would gladly trade a fountain for it, a first born, one of the 4 dogs, ....nah...I guess not:) How about I give x dollars to a charity of your choice:)that way a good deed happens twice:) But a very nice thing to do. I'm still a little choked up after reading Dan's request. A man who bares his soul like that deserves some serious consideration. Chalk me up as one vote for Dan!!! |

Thanks ChiTown. I was of course just joking. Obviously everyone, including myself wants to see the compass go to a really cute kid, and his nice Dad. I was trying to be entertaining in a way that plays better in Brooklyn than Peoria. I thought Kelly wanted to be entertained -- I will try to stick to my day job :) |

I would like to have that compass to mount upon my cottage on Northern Georgian Bay. The reason being due to all the damn snow that's been coming down I think Lake Huron is going to rise a few feet and take my cottage away. I thought with having the compass mounted up top I could at least navigate to some decent fishing area. Have you got a blue GPS you could toss in. If I win this contest, please ship the compass to Dan's young son. Have a Great Day |

I am shipping the compass to Jeff. Whaler, water, father, and son, that is about as good as it gets in my book. Kelly |

There IS something to be said for being FIRST too.....bless ya Kelly, for honoring the quick, the smart, and the cute. Jeff- If your boy wears that hat to school, he will be a scrapper before he's out of preschool. |
