We combined a back rest with our popular casting platform to produce this multi-fuctional casting deck with back support for additional seating on your Montauk! The seat is 1 full inch thick with a center support and is extra deep ( 15" front to back) to give you a safe standing/walking surface and an 11" tall backrest for added comfort. Regards, |

Does the seat with backrest stable during acceleration? And is it for smirked Montauks only? I am curious because when that stern seat is on an Eastport, like the ones you build also, it is under side rails similar to a 13' bench seat. Thanks |

You can install this with screws into the lip or elect to do it like others and use the latches underneath...I believe they are perco. For an additional fee I can make the side clamps for it also. We welcome any questions & comments. thanks, Mike Nautical Lumber Co 586-777-1288 |
