It's just a hull and trailer. Original owner since new. Looks to be in decent condition. It has a motor but bad lower unit. What's something like this in average condition worth? I haven't had a Whaler in a few years and lost touch on values.

You ought to be able to buy a freshwater classic 15 with a solid 70 on it and a decent trailer for under $5k. Make your adjustments from there.

With all respect to the previous poster, that seems a little low. When I was looking last fall, I valued a mint 15 with a decent trailer, no motor, at right around $5K. That's in the northeast - may be cheaper in other areas. It's all about condition.

This spring you could buy a new 13, with trailer and merc 40 with 5 year warranty for about 11K. So, back out the price of the merc.

Sorry, I see you were looking at a 15. That package with a 60 merc was about 2K more.

Since motor is good but needs a foot a nice late model 15 like that would probably fetch $5k.
