BenchRacing	posted 10-20-2009 09:19 AM ET (US)         FOR SALE: 17 foot 1971 Boston Whaler "Menemsha" w/trailer. One of only 230 produced. A much sought after & very rare classic Boston Whaler. In excellent condition, needs nothing, ready for the lake, surfing @ Holister Ranch or take it to Catalina tomorrow. 115hp Chrysler outboard, just serviced (new water pump housing and impeller, carburetor's rebuilt, service lower unit, 150lbs of compression on all four cylinders, power tilt). Stainless steel prop. Wood has been re-varnished, two custom pilot chairs swivel for fishing, dual 72 quart ice chests double as additional rear seating, wiring has been sorted, straightened up & replaced, AM FM CD player w/new speakers, Fishfinder w/speedo, power tilt, steers with one finger, new dual deep cycle batteries, Perko dual battery switch, onboard battery charger, full custom cover (just re-stitched). Windshield frame has been stripped and painted and new laminated glass installed. Anti-foul bottom paint, polished and waxed inside and out. Front anchor locker w/galvanized anchor/chain/rope. Bilge pump, switch & wiring for bait tank, two 6 gallon gas tanks included. Custom "Classic Boston Whaler" graphics, "duck" can be removed if desired. Built on Boston Whalers 16 ft 7 inch hull (same as the Nauset) this boat was succeeded by the 17 Montauk. This is a great Whaler with weather protection and tons of dry gear storage. Change clothes or sleep in the cabin. Front doors have super strong latches that allow you to leave them open even when under way. Just in time for Big Bear Fall Trout fishing or the upcoming late season offshore fishing action. The "Menemsha" models do not come up for sale very often, especially in turn key condition.
