I too cannot understand this fellows marketing philosophy. The E-Tec is now for sale on his site for $5499. First $2500, then $4400, and now $5499. But this is not new. I somewhat watch his site and he has a 19 ft BW for sale for $19,995, but it was for sale for $14,999 a while back, $21,999 before that. He has a 13 ft. BW with no motor for $1499, but it was $799 earlier, and something else after. Makes no sense. Wait awhile, and the price will change. He has posted boats that were "pending", or "in-bound", but then mysteriously disappear from his site. I do know that he has posted "in bound" boats for sale for thousands more than I've seen the same boat for sale on Craigs List. Maybe the owners saw what was happening and cancelled the deal. But whatever, it is certainly strange.

The boats dissappeared because they sold immediatly. As far as pricing, yes the prices were low sometimes. Now they are not low. Sort of like a sale don't you think?

Thank you for watching my website. It is nice to know that someone is on the ball.

Closed? I guess taasty does not have administrative rights on this site.

This con artist sure has some kahunas. I think I have seen his work under several other names.

<<<The boats dissappeared because they sold immediatly.>>>

Not really. He also has a "customer" section where he lists the boats he has sold, and the "pending" or "in-bound" boats are never listed there when they "disappear" from his site. And, I bought one of those "in-bound" boats from the person selling it on Craigs List------for thousands less then he had it listed for on his "in-bound" list.

Dont bother...you are too far away to matter.
taasty1 posted 12-08-2009 02:03 AM ET (US)     Profile for taasty1
Tell ya what. How about you guys buy your boats from those members here and I wont take interest in selling any of you my crappy pieces of fresh water junk. In fact,I will not sell any member of this website any of my future products. So look at my website and those pictures all you want to if that gets you off.

Have a great life.

Its fine. I password protect my website now to keep blowhards on this website away from my website.

Enjoy your forum.

This is Deja vu all over again. You "banned" forum members a few years ago. Remember? How is that working for you?

Greg -

Your password protection for your site is about as good as your attempts to close your own threads here on this site.

You must not have administrative rights on your site either.

Probably a good decision on the part of your Web developers.

Anywho, if we're so unimportant, why is it that you keep coming back under a different name to try to sell us stuff?

Just askin'.

How is it that the last 2 boats you bragged about were coming up from FT Lauderdale area, fresh water my ass.

Greg also uses "TheWhalerStore" here on CW.

"The Whaler Guy", "Boston Marine", "whalerskiff" and "Greg Olson" are also other usernames he has registered and then abandoned/been blocked with here.

Over at WC, he keeps trying to register with new names and Joe keeps blocking him whenever he pops up. Sort of like the game Whac-A-Mole:

Toshib,if you had actually read my website instead of being so quick to judge you would have seen that I stated on my website "I will not sell a boat that has a motor from saltwater". This means,if a Whaler has a salty engine when I get it,it is removed and sold to a local outboard recycler.

Thanks to a few people like you, I am no longer allowing any access to my site unless one comes to me through a legitimate marketing source other than this site,or Craigslist. I have sold no boats to anyone from this site, and probably never will. Considering the effort the return is lacking. I see that the marketplace here is far from effective, not searchable and seems to be more talk than what it should be intended for. Thanks top a few members of this site, some of which seem to have nothing better to do all day except surf the internet asking questions about boats here for sale that they never would buy is a little silly.

I use other sites to market besides Craigs and this site.

Thank you though for your dedicated interest./

All the best to you all.

Goodbye

Bye.

You might want to get that blocking problem looked at. You revised your site (according to the bottom banner) today, but it still allows folks from here to visit.

I was just visitor number 57 since your very effective blockade.

Go get 'em Greg. There's a sucker born every minute. You should be able to stay in business despite your apparent shortcomings as a salesman.

Nice.

Note to Greg: My hotmail account has a great little feature that actually does allow me to block unwanted e-mail. Congratulations, you're now on that list.

As for the size of my balls (in reference to your second post) I'm flattered that you are so interested, but I really don't swing that way.

This has to be the most unique method of marketing that I have ever seen.

Is there a name for such a method?

Since most of the postings on the subject of this seller have been in the Marketplace it is tough to go back and search as these post are not archived.

So Greg's usernames thus far have been:
The Whaler guy
Whalerguy
thewhalerstore
Whaler Skiff
Boston Marine

Now:
taasty1

Possibles:
Water rat or Waterrat I can not remember.

Any others?

Honestly this and the other posts are some of the poorest representations of one's professional services and marketing abilities I have ever seen.

After owning 22 Whalers....I am sooooo upset that I can't buy one from some jackass in the midwest. Damn!!!! The money I could have spent on shipping from boats he buys in Florida....WOW!

Jeff -- "WaterRat" (and also the distinct "Water Rat") are usernames that belong to individuals that have nothing to do with Greg Olson.

Please, let us not soil their reputations with an implied association.

Buckda,

I know this is going to break your heart but your lover is sending out emails and making calls to others....thinking others want to talk to him.......He is delusinal at best.
I don't, and less we forget, it's America.:)Clearly you have been told me and others don't want to talk to you in any format.

My trolls tought me everything I know:)

Please don't forget to take your meds after your shrink visits. I suggest long term care vs the easier short term option.

Why would I want to speak to a slime like you anyway???

You put three prices on a motor in one thread and put two other prices on the same motor on ebay in Nov.( just look it up if you forgot), and another on your site and all for the same motor, and you want to talk to me or anyone honest enough to point it out...I dont think so....why would I waste my valuable time talking to the likes of you!So please don't bother calling or writing or sending chocolates or anything.

P.S. Clearly, this is the reply you requested:)Now &$%% Off!@

No need to take the bait guys. Some folks thrive on drama, and there's nothing you can do to change it. I'm learning that in life, you need only worry about the sh_t in your own yard... not the sh_t in others' yards.
