I'm heading to Florida in a few weeks to pick up a boat, and I can tow that fine freshwater specimen you've picked up on down to you. I have a 2007 F-150 and will be running the I-75 corridor most of the way. Please let me know if you need a Whaler moved along that route and I'll be happy to make arrangements with you. Please E-MAIL me. Thanks. Dave |

This offer is rescinded, as I've "filled" the hitch. :) Thanks CW. |

Yes. I have cargo capacity in the bed of my truck, but I have a boat that I'll be towing. Dave |

So begins David's load on it's long journey to Florida. I picked up this great 69 Curritcuk today for a site lurker here on CW. I actually surveyed it for the buyer last week and he decided to buy it. Since the Marina has horrible hours I drove out to pick it up at get it to my house where Dave is taking delivery for the trip to Orlando. Things like this are what make this site so great. Other helping people who they have never met in person but feel like they have known each other for a long time. If you can ever help out fellow members here do it. The Whaler Karma will repay you 10 fold. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v427/jeff_rohlfing/95dda899.jpg Here is the boat.

I trust Michael appreciates both the expertise in Boston Whalers and effort Jeff and Dave put forth on his behalf. That's a winning team if ever anyone were looking for a classic Boston Whaler! |

I like to hear about things like this. That's a terrific-looking boat too. A nice, freshwater find for someone... |

The boat is in great shape. It's sitting in my driveway ready to be hitched up tomorrow for the drive to Florida. I picked up a "loaner" spare hub assembly from another forum member who has the exact same model trailer so the new owner (who will be selling this trailer in Florida shortly) won't have to invest too much in getting the boat down to Florida. The tires are filled, the gear is stowed and we're ready to go. Now to just make it through another day at work... Thanks again to Jeff for saving me a weekday trip over to Detroit to pick this up. The little boat towed "like it wasn't even there" behind the truck. The difference between a 1969 16'9" Whaler and a 1986 18'6" Whaler is amazing. Night and day. Anyway - she'll be delivered on Thursday night just in time for me to pick up a new trailer and 'new to me' boat on Friday and prep it for the return journey north. Dave |

That's the second Whaler that Dave has scooped up from our friends down south, the damnyankee carpetbagger. Have a great trip down and an even better one back, Dave. I know you'll stop dozens of times on your way north to, uh, check the wheel bearings. Don't let the cops (whoops...sorry Pat) the law enforcement officers catch you spacing out standing by the side of the road staring at your new acquisition. They might get the wrong idea. Can't wait to see some pix of your new boat. Tony |

Tony - Thanks. Guess what's on the top of my list? - Camera Second: - Tripod. Hey - Captain Bligh here, I need a tripod to take photos - no one will sail with me on this particular expedition. Not even Pat! :) Dave |
