Anybody have any new or excellent condition RPS "Z" legs for sale? |

Are yours just faded or are they missing/broken? If faded whitish I can restore them to like new for minimal cost. |

Any color is fine - brown would be great. |

Specialty Marine sells them on their site. |

Specialty Marine sells a (vague) imitation of the Whaler Z-legs. They have them CNC'ed from StarBoard. |

Would there be enough people interested in these to do another group purchase run of the true OEM originals? I know I would buy a set or two. |

About how much $$ are we talking about for the OEM type? |

I believe Tom would know best about how many people it took to get a run done, as well as the final costs. |

Tom - I'll trade you a really nice Pate 24 gallon gas tank for a pair of RPS Z legs :). |

I've organized two different group purchases of the Z-legs. Both times I wish I had just put up my own money and ordered more. There will always be a demand for them. The unit price will depend on the number of orders and inflation will have taken its toll by now, but I would guess maybe $200/pair. |

Didn't Nautical Lumber order a batch of these recently? |

Tom, What is so special about the original OEM Z-legs, such that the ones made out of starboard are inferior, or less desirable? Just curious. |

Oh, not much apart for the fact they are better looking, weigh less, are stronger and match the originals. |

How do you know they are stronger? |

Because I have worked with 5/4 (1") StarBoard before and I design and build things for a living. The imitation Z-legs are made of three or four pieces of StarBoard screwed together not a single lightweight casting of fiber reinforced plastic resin. I'll bet my boat against anybody eles's that the imitation StarBoard Z-legs will collapse in a side load test of a classic Whaler RPS before the Whaler Z-legs fail. |

Just checked with Sue at Whaler dealer Twin Cities Marine in Wisconsin. Black OEM RPS Z legs are available and in stock. $237.00 for a pair. |
