Matt, don't sell your 170 Montauk! You're nuts, why are you giving it away? Warren |

That's a low price. It should sell pretty quick! |

Nice ride for sure. Question, I know on my Montauk, Outrage and Sourpuss I was always told no roller trailers. Did that change with the newer models? |

You can use a roller trailer on lighter hulls. |

Tohsgib What is considered a lighter hull? Your statement seems to contradict an article about trailering which gives reasons why an all roller trailer should not be used.
I'm considering a montauk 17 and the type trailer it sits on is one of my considerations. Thanks for any insight. |

Good eye on the rollers. Everything I've read cautioned strongly againt their use with foam sandwich hull contruction. It's not the trailer from the factory that's for sure. Upon closer look at the pictures she didn't seem to be pampered. Holes in the CC; scratches on the hull. Those were some rough 36 hours! |

Whaler recommends, almost insists, that trailers have keel rollers and standard bunks. They want the whole weight of the hull to be on the keel, the bunks are not supposed to be weight bearing. |
