Sold the boat, still have the mooring cover.

Details: Sunbrella, Pacific Blue, custom designed for this Montauk. Fabricator unknown, no Mills tag inside. I don't think it is a Mills because it does not use their clipping system, it has sewn, weighted bags to secure it (I did not count but I think there are 6).

It is an amazingly fitted cover for this boat. It is reinforced inside with vinyl/rubberized reinforcements for stress areas, has a cut-out for the stern light. There is a zipper at the starboard bow. It surrounds the rails and center console with precision, collects no water during rainfall and does not require any kind of pole to support the bow region. There are reinforced cut-outs for port and starboard stern lines. There is an integrated cover for the engine and a retaining strap that clips around the engine.

It has one very small tear, at the stern light area that I will have repaired. Otherwise it is structurally intact, aesthetically in good condition. I have no idea of the age. I would call it a 8/10 condition. I will post photos later today. I wish I could find a cover with this kind of fit for my Outrage.

I called Suzanne @ Mills, to price a new one from them, they are $946, plus shipping.

I will sell for $450/OBO, plus shipping. Cheers.

Still have the cover? Thanks

Yes, I still have the cover and I have been trying to find a way to display it to take photos. The hull is gone, so I have nowhere to hang the cover to show its shape, fit and condition.

I could lay it out on the lawn but somehow, it just won't do it justice to photograph it that way.

Finally getting around to clearing some items out.

I took this cover to a fabricator, who stitched the tear at the stern light cut-out. She found a few other seams with signs of early fray, and restitched those, as well. She also did not like the installation of the zipper at the bow and re-did that. She commented on the number of underside reinforcements (thought they were well placed).

She was fantastic. Good to know the price of Mills vs custom fabrication- this shop would have charged $1900 for my cover, new, as it is designed.

So, up on the block, price reduced to $400. Can send detailed photos. This cover is in So Cal. and can be shipped, if needed.

Well, perhaps I have not priced this cover right, I thought it would be gone quickly. Please feel free to make an offer, if you are interested.

OK, I was able to get some photos of the classic Montauk mooring cover today. Unfortunately, I do not have the boat to display it on, so the very custom fit of the cover can not be seen from the photos.

I have put a small detail comment on each photo, but email if you need more information. I would say that the cover is in very good shape for its age.

Thanks.

What dimensions are the fuel tank?
Height?
Width?
Length?
Capacity?
...
Would you consider $ 150.00 for the cover??
Thanks, Russ

Hi Russ 13-

The fuel tanks are spoken for.

$150 for the cover-sorry, not a go. The Sunbrella fabric could not even be purchased for that price.

I might be able to spend more.
Please send me an E-mail, with your lowest acceptable price.
Glad to hear you sold the tanks.
Thank you
