I was hoping my fellow BW enthusiasts could help with the value of a Revenge, fresh water, 1979 Johnson 200, 1980 Johnson 15 kicker. Not perfect but not buggered up, probably about a seven, maybe and eight after some elbow grease. Owner estimates only about 500 hours on main engine. Is $10,000 the right number?

With it being a 21 Revenge, in today's market it better be pretty darn nice hull that has all of it's systems in good working order sitting a good solid trailer and a motor that passes a complete mechicanical inspection with flying colors to sell at $10,000

Maybe $7-8k if REALLY nice with a 32 year old engine. I would be thrilled to get $12k with a 2006 4 stroke, 2004 trailer and $2500 worth of custom canvas for my 19.

Nick - If your Revenge had a red rubrail, it would easily sell for over 12K in the Great Lakes area! As Jeff and his Dad have done, and many others also, nice classic Whalers sell for big prices up here, bad economy or not. But they have to be turnkey. Compared to the price of a new Whaler, they are bargains. What new size Whaler can be bought for 12K. Not much.

Mine has a red rubrail.

I also have a brand new $1400+ factory OEM rear seat waiting to be installed.

Thanks guys- seeing "32 year old engine" in print is sobering. For my use in northern Michigan, the weather protection is worth a bunch and I've come to love the quirky cool hull style (I'm seeing quite a few now calling the Les Cheneaux Islands home).
Sounds like 8k might make it an OK deal. Sell the kicker(I don't fish) to reduce my exposure or keep it for security?

Nick - Nice to see you went for the red insert. I think it really makes the 19' classic hull (they also look great on the V-20's and 1979 V-22's). I was not aware of that, since you did not join my group purchase, and were saying you liked the black on yours.

The boat looks beautiful.
