Looking for a center console for a 1981 Montauk if anyone has one from that era. Thanks |

Check houston craiglist periodicly. I see them in there more often than in other locations. Plus some fiberglass shops post there new consoles also. Another person to try is Joe Orlando's Fiberglass, 281-334-2902. He is in Kemah, Tx. I had another number for a gentleman by the name of Paul Graham in Houston. His number is 409-771-6536. He is in galveston, tx. I was going to buy a used super console a couple of years back, but never pulled the trigger. He sell the mid eighties style console blank and already outfitted ready to go. I hope this helps. BigDaddy |

I am not sure that I would put a super console in a Montauk, there is so little free room to begin with. |

I was not mentioning he put a super console in a montauk. Paul had one for sale. He has a mold for the mid eighties montauk console and early '90 outrage console. He gets alot of customers changing from super consoles to the smaller ones. Thanks. |

If you don't find a BW console, I highly recommend a Carolina Skiff one. I got a medium one for my Dauntless 15 and couldn't be happier with the result! It's got a built in seat and is much smaller than a BW one. |

Wow thanks Bigshot and Big Daddy and everyone. I am now in Houston so that makes it real easy for me to get to Kemah. Once again great info! |

I've never been to either shop and have seen the new consoles in person. I've only seen pics of the blank consoles. Please reply after checking them out. Thanks. |

Here is the console I believe Joe Orlando sells. As you can see it is close to be not exactly the same as an OEM one do to the flares at the base. He may be able to remove those. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v427/jeff_rohlfing/Misc%20Whaler/ tempconsole.jpg He also has one based on the 1991 and later classic console used on the Outrages. |

Angel's Marine makes the early 90's era Montauk console, he lays them up thick. Located in Dickenson Tx. He specializes in Whaler restoration, does exellent fiberglass and gell coat and also has a full custom aluminum fab shop. He's cheaper the Orlando's |
