For sale best offer. Parked it Four years ago after our last fishing trip on it. Tarped it for winter. Tenants kids got into it, didn't replace tarp. Water, leaves, mud. Cleaned it up and re-tarped it. Last year thieves broke into it and stole kicker motor off of it. Nobody told me about it. More water and debris in boat. Good hull. Boat needs a thorough cleaning. I got motor to fire up with little effort a few months ago. Original O.M.C. 2.7 liter outboard. Has a lot of hours on it. Full transom w. 3 hatches, one pull-out fish box. 120 gallon aluminum fuel tank. Easy loader trailer could benefit from refurbishing. Located in Santa Cruz Ca. Photo's gladly sent if interested. |

bornhappy, If someone is interested in photos you may want to provide them with a way to get in touch with you. Is there an email address to contact you at? Also, if the hull is a closed transom and you reference a 2.7 OMC am I correct to assume it has an OMC SeaDrive on it? |

To put things in perspective (due to a lot of inquiries), I'd be thrilled if I got a couple of thousand for the boat. |

bornhappy- 7500-8000 would be a good place to start. 2000 would be a steal. |

$8000 can get some decent Whalers these days. Sometimes even a larger one. Here are links to images of the boat listed here. http://s1082.photobucket.com/albums/j366/bostonwhalerforsale/ It's just my opinion but, "couple" thousand is in the ballpark for someone to take this project on. With the water and growth stains in the cockpit, as well as the cuddy there had to be a fair amount of water sitting in the hull for some time. The fuel tank cavity will likely still be full of water and with the fuel tank cover sitting under water it will likely need to be recored. The full transom is a REALLY nice feature but, you will have a fair amount of work removing the seadrive, patching the transom and then shelling out some good cash for a bracket to rig a motor(s). |

The Outrage Cuddy is a set up in demand. Clean that hull up or pay some kid to do it for $50.00 and you should get several thousand for it. 5-6k easy. |

This was a high-spec boat when new in 1985 (selling for close to $40k at the time), and full transom Outrage Cuddy models are somewhat rare. It's hard to say what the boat is worth based on the described condition, but in my opinion it's definitely worth saving. Note that it has no bottom paint, and appears to be unmodified from stock. Check the archives for an article on a low budget Sea-Drive to outboard transplant using an ordinary jack plate--could be just the ticket for someone on a budget looking for an unsinkable fishing machine. I have the notched transom version of this boat and I love its versatility. |

The boat will clean up nicely. The motor? Well, it will run. Somebody could put a kicker on the boat for insurance and run the boat as is until the main finally gives up. Back when I thought I'd keep the boat for when my kids are grown, I figured I'd buy a rebuilt motor for it. At the time they were being advertised online in the neighborhood of $2000-$3000. The savings over a new four stroke would buy a lot of fuel for a lot of years. Pencils out nicely. The trailer? It would be best to replace, but some people might be comfortable with it. So, there it is. It could be a very inexpensive way for a person to get into a pretty nice boat. Just some elbow grease and time to "make it your own". Or...a person could dump a lot of money into it and end up with an extremely nice boat that is worth about the same amount of money that they have put into it. I'm just too busy to deal with it, and the vandalism (twice) has just broken my heart and made me realize that I either need to purchase indoor secured storage space for it or get rid of it before it turns into a complete pile of cr..p. |

very nice boat indeed, just needing some TLC. Looks like most of the teak is intact as well. Those closed transoms are nice, i know i like mine. Hope someone takes on this project and does a nice restore job. Duf |

All the teak is there, just clean and oil it (which is what I used to do twice a year) or sand and varnish. The louvered cabin door is in great shape and is stored indoors, as is the bimini. Two days of spit and polish, and there's a running boat. |
