I'm selling my boat to upsize. It has a 1999 Mercury 250 EFI and a galvanized trailer.

Hull: it was dried out, floor section over the gas tank was pulled up and checked out OK, resealed and re installed. The hull waas repaired of various nicks and 1 transom crack. All work was done by Colley Marine, one of the oldest Whaler dealers located in Virginia Beach, VA. I have a copy of the invoice, around $3K. The crash bar and tow bit/roller were removed at this time, I still have them if wanted. All hoses for the tank and fuel system were replaced. The 63 gallon gas tank is clean and corrosion free. It has a super console and a fixed fiberglass seat with storage under and a grab rail on top. It has the Guardian rails which are the greatest design- handy but never in the way. They are higher along the aft sides and drop lower as they move forward. The inside of the hull is original grey gelcoat in good shape with afew nicks here and there. The outside of the hull was originally blue for the original purchasers, D.C. Metro Police dept. but ithas been poorly painted white with black bottom paint. You can see the blue showing where the water hits it on the chines. It looks great from 20 feet most people think it's much newer than it is. This is not your shiny mahogany/chrome pretty classic, it's a functional battle wagon that looks good in a tough kind of way, like a Glock handgun.

Motor: 3 liter V6, low hours for the year, new lower unit, paint and engine cover and decals when I bought it 3 years ago. I also had the oil injection re-installed at this time, the previous owner had removed it.This motor runs beautifully and starts instantly every time- I love fuel injection! It doesn't have the fuel efficiency of a direct injection e tec or optimax, but it's much better than a carb'ed motor but still very simple and light.

Performance: The Guardian hull is thicker/heavier than an outrage so I chose to overpower the boat mainly to have a comfortable low RPM cruise (and I'm a redneck!). It also planes right out and it will fly if you open it up. I have not gotten around to dialing it in, too little time, and it works so well as it is, but there is a lot more if you're interested. Running a 19" SS 3 blade prop it goes in the low/mid 50's. It does not ever feel too light or loose but it's fast and solid. It doesn't chine walk or act squirrelly at all. Also, I never got the gauges working, so having no tach I didn't have the information to dial it in more.

Trailer: Older Dilly galvanized trailer with 4 bunks and 4 keel rollers. I replaced the rollers last year with Stolz urethane and stainless steel rods, a big improvement. 15 inch wheels and tires, one axle.I just put new lights on it. I put a new axle on it last year as well. It's not pretty, but it's functional and I just towed it on a couple hundred mile trip with no problems. It has bearing buddies.

General: I bought this years ago as a project and spent WAAAY too much, I know I'll never recover it. It is a really great boat that is ready to go, it just needs a few more things to be perfect such as the gauges need to be wired up, the running lights need to be fixed, and you may want a bilge pump, there isn't one now. I'm asking 9500 and there are some electronics that may convey, I have to find out what they are worth, I put all new Raymarine color fishfinder, GPS chartplotter and VHF radio 4 years ago but I bartered the electronics and need to speak to the installer.

I can email pictures taken yesterday, I can also rig a 1999 Johnson 150 HP saltwater series that runs well with good compression and looks really clean for 6000, pretty firm at that price. This boat is turn key ready to go.
